In doing so, we assist next generation life science companies as well as academic and government researchers in the design, implementation, and management of every aspect of biospecimen research.


The Business Development Associate performs a variety of tasks associated with client service and technical consultation for the business’ primary cells products. Primary responsibilities include product-based support, preparation and presentation of technical information, as well as the management of product inventory and release.

Description (Roles & Responsibilities)

  • Develop business for the Accucell cellular product line
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for technical inquiries via phone or electronic communications
  • Assess customer needs and provide appropriate technical/application support based on available product or service specifications, application data, communication with internal scientific staff, published articles, marketing, or other functional areas
  • Assist sales of primary cells products by preparing and presenting technical presentations on cellular/immunology products
  • Track and maintain metrics relevant to management periodically; make recommendations on process improvements
  • Communicate with the manufacturing team regarding product inventory and the release of products
  • Receive customer complaints and communicate technical details to the QA team for complaint management
  • Recommend or author technical literature to support products in collaboration with scientific staff internally
  • On an as needed basis, travel to customer sites or conferences to present seminars or product/services portfolio or provide technical support – anticipated to be 15-25%

Requirements (Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree in biology, immunology or cell biology required. PhD preferred
  • Knowledge of related scientific/technical information required, preferably in immunology or cell/tissue culture products and/or services
  • Highly motivated with strong work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Excellent client service, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, and PowerPoint)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience within life sciences and/or healthcare setting. Primary human cells experience desired
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently, and comprehend the English language
